In April 2016, I purchased a 2016 KTM Revelator Prime Frameset and installed all the components from my previous bike, a Jamis Icon Pro. Designed and built in Austria, the KTM Revelator Prime is aimed for top-level racing performance and is UCI-Certified. Constructed from KTM’s R:1485 monocoque carbon fiber, the Revelator is stiff, fast, and lightweight. A BB72 PressFit bottom bracket and tapered headtube help stiffen up the frame in crucial areas. The thin seat stays and bladed carbon fiber fork help build some compliance into the frame. To get the most out of the carbon fiber frame, a Shimano Ultegra groupset is used along with Token C50 Zenith carbon fiber wheelset wrapped in Specialized S-Works Turbo Tires. Finishing it off, Specialized’s top of the line S-Works Romin Saddle is now anchored to a ZIPP SL Speed Carbon seatpost to ensure an optimal power transfer.
