Over the past few weeks, OriolBikes has been left a bit unattended due to an exciting trip to Detroit thanks to General Motors and their great Discover Your Drive Student Journalism Experience. In addition to the incredible experience and thanks to great teamwork, my team and I were the winners of a GoPro Hero5 Black after a fun Scavenger Hunt around Detroit with the new Chevy Volt EV. It seems as if GM read my latest post when I said that one of my goals of 2017 was to create more content…
Spending some time away from home and riding allowed me to recharge and motivate myself as I head towards four months of intense cycling.
Before I left for Detroit, I was announced as the newest brand ambassador for Science In Sport in the US. To kick off, I had the opportunity to talk with Ted Munson, a Performance Nutritionist at SiS, to discuss nutrition both on and off the bike to ensure that over the next four months I fuel properly and get my body ready for GFNY NYC. Having the support of SiS as I chase my goal of finishing under 7 hours is essential and will push me to train harder, especially knowing the trust they have placed on me. #FueledByScience
